Delegations of Authority for Academic Personnel Actions

On October 1, 2006, the Vice Provost-Academic Personnel, was delegated the authority by then-Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw to administer the academic personnel program for the UC Davis campus, including development of implementing procedures and application of the UC academic personnel policies.

1When Visiting Assistant Professors do not have equivalent or appropriate academic appointments at other institutions, consultation must occur with the Faculty Personnel Committee
2For initial appointment at salaries which are more than 25% above the professorial salary scale, the President has approval authority
