"It's only through a broadly diverse faculty, able to participate fully
and without barrier, that we are able to achieve our collective potential."
Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef, UC Davis
At the University of California, Davis, we appreciate that
diversity in all its dimensions ensures that our faculty will bring a
full range of backgrounds and perspectives to its teaching, research,
and service responsibilities.
One of the primary goals of our institution is to encourage the participation
of women and ethnic minority faculty on our campus. To support that goal
and make our campus' gender and diversity policies and programs more easily
accessible, this site compiles and offers links to supportive policies,
gender and diversity research data and reports, and significantly highlights
community and opportunity to all of our academic personnel.
We welcome and encourage candidates who are committed not only to the
highest standards of scholarship and professional activities, but to the
development of a climate that supports equality and diversity. Browse
this site and let us know your comments and suggestions.
